We are getting ready to head out on a MUCH needed vacation this week, and we will be back just before Christmas. We go every year to visit family and friends, and because it just doesn’t quite feel like Christmas until we hit the snow. This picture is from our trip last year when we were driving through Utah. We had just got our FJ Cruiser a week before that trip and were so excited. This year is extra special because it’s Baby Zakk’s first trip to Utah. Please say some prayers for a safe trip for us! We will have access to our email and phones, but unless it’s an emergency, we will get back to you when we return. Thank you!

I attended this one day workshop in San Fransisco hosted by Nate Kaiser & Susan Stripling. I was excited to learn some new techniques from Nate of “theimageisfound“. He is a photographer that continues to impress me with his images that are far beyond the ordinary and has been one of my long time favorites. Though I was kind of bummed that we didn’t get to shoot as much as I would like, I still took back some great lessons that I can’t wait to try out again. I couldn’t believe when I got home, I realized that I had only taken less than 150 shots of my entire trip, travel included! So sad… Below are a few shots from our of camera lighting assignment. They are of Ed Pingol and Erwin Wijanto, two other really awesome photographers that I finally got to meet in person, along with a special thanks to Melissa of “dimplesphotography” who helped me navigate through the crazy streets! The first shot is Nate shooting Ed, then our lighting technique assignments, the rest of the images are just a couple of shots I took for fun. San Fransisco is such an awesome place to shoot, the locations are endless. I need to go back soon and really make it a photo mission.
